A presentation about family and taught students how to introduce their family
and talk about their house
I prepared a PowerPoint presentation using images from google and made up a story about Kate and her family.
I started with the vocabulary and phrase: "This is my...(dad, mum, brother, sister (me), and baby sister. "This is my family"
Then we counted how many family members were in the picture.
After, I asked the students to introduce their families using the prompts from the last slide below.
The presentation also includes "parts of the house" and interactive online live worksheets.

Part 2. House
For the second part of the presentation, I introduced the topic of the house: The different types of houses.
I also asked the students which type of house their family lives in and their grandparents.
After, I presented pictures of the parts of the house and vocabulary related to it: flat, house, bedroom, bathroom, toilet, kitchen, living room, dining room, hall, and balcony.
I also introduced the phrases: 'This is' and 'There are', in describing their house.

Part 3. Review
For part 3, I reviewed the vocabulary and phrases we discussed from the presentation through online live worksheets activity. You may check the website below.
